NICOLAS NORBLIN

Nicolas Norblin (b. 1977, France)  is a visual artist based in Paris.

Graduated from the universities London Guildhall and Paris La Sorbonne in Cinema and Audiovisual Productions, he worked in various direction teams in the cinema industry before becoming a photo assistant specialised in fashion and studio work.

He started his freelance carreer in 2006.

 

He has since then developped a pluridisciplinary approach where documentary and fiction, photography and video, realism and symbolism coexist. As if the photographer didn't have to choose between witnessing and creating, between the 'real world' and the photo studio.

Both being part of the same research, completing and fueling each other. Both exploring the same human figure in its frailty, its loneliness and its mutations.

 

This approach has led him to work with a variety of clients from the press, corporate, architecture, fashion and music industries ; including Chloé, La Vanguardia, Vog Coiffure, Axa Assurances, Paris Match, Post-Office Architectes...
